Preparing for the onslaught, I faced my Landcruiser into the wind. During this burst of weather, many of the surrounding trees were uprooted or snapped. I stayed on the rock, swinging the car to face it into the wind as the storm passed. The direction of the wind changed by 90 degrees over the next 10 minutes. I'm not ashamed to say that I was scared!
